Vetri Maaran is one of Tamil cinema's most successful directors, and the director's distinct style has its own fan following. The great filmmaker has launched a film named 'Vaadivaasal,' starring Suriya. In a recent YouTube interview, Vetri Maaran offered a few words about the plot of 'Vaadivaasal,' confirming that the film is set in the 1960s, during a politically tumultuous period in Tamil Nadu. However, the filmmaker is now working on the film's pre-production, and he is slated to begin principal photography in December or January.
Vetri Maaran already shot a peek of the Jallikattu sequence with Suriya for 'Vaadivaasal,' and the video was also shared on the actor's last birthday to boost anticipation for the film. 'However, the film has been postponed since Suriya and Vetri Maaran are both preoccupied with past obligations.'
Vetri Maaran is now working on the final draught of 'Viduthalai,' a film starring Soori and Vijay Sethupathi that will release in two parts. The first installment is scheduled to be released in theatres in December, with the second installment following in the second quarter of 2023.
Suriya, on the other hand, is filming his feature with director Siruthai Siva, and the mega-budget Pan-Indian action movie is progressing well. The squad just completed a program in Goa, and the next schedule will take place in Chennai and Pondicherry.
