Vetrimaaran Announces The Shooting Timeline Of ‘Vada Chennai 2.’

Since the debut of filmmaker Vetrimaaran's 'Vada Chennai,' featuring Dhanush in the leading role, in 2018, fans of both the star actor and the respected director have been anxiously anticipating the film's sequel, 'Vada Chennai 2'. While Dhanush previously stated that Vetrimaaran must determine when to produce the highly awaited sequel, the acclaimed director has revealed that 'Vada Chennai 2' will be his next project following Vijay Sethupathi's 'Viduthalai' and Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal.'

When director Vetrimaaran took the stage for the audio launch of Dhanush's latest film 'Thiruchitrambalam,' the audience yelled 'Vada Chennai 2' repeatedly. After the two films he is currently working on, he said on stage that his next project would be with Dhanush. Vetrimaaran is now working on 'Viduthalai,' a film starring Vijay Sethupathi and Soori, before moving on to Suriya's 'Vaadivaasal.'

Dhanush and director Vetri Maaran are one of Kollywood's most successful duos. Dhanush, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Daniel Balaji, and Ameer feature in 'Vada Chennai,' an epic mafia story.

Vetri Maaran previously stated that 'Vada Chennai 2' will take at least two years to complete. So it may be some time until fans see Dhanush as Anbu in 'Vada Chennai 2', titled 'Vada Chennai: The Rise of Anbu.'
