Vicky Kaushal is happy about URI: The Surgical Strike movie screening at IFFI 2019

The 50th edition of the International Film Festival of India is starting today. It will be a nine-day festival, which ends on the 28th of this month. Just like every other year, Goa will be hosting this year's edition as well. Already, The Government of India has made special plans for the festival to make a big success.

 
A whole new set of categories got introduced to screen special films in the special edition. One of them is URI: The Surgical Strike. Directed by Adithya Dhar, URI is the 2019 film that featured Vicky Kaushal in the lead role. The film was a major success at the box office and minted more than Rs. 200 crores in its total run.
 
Vicky expressed his happiness over the selection of URI for the screening at IFFI. In a specially released video, the Masaan actor said that he is quite elated by the fact that URI is getting screened at IFFI. He also congratulated IFFI for entering into another glorious edition.
 
Apart from URI, several other mainstream films like Gully Boy, Badhaai Ho, Super 30 and The Tashkent Files got selected for the screenings this year. Apart from these, there are also more than 200 other films which will get showcased at the festival.
