The cast have posted various behind-the-scenes photos from their filming over the last year. While little specifics are known, fans are eager to learn more about the film. Karan Johar and Dharma Productions have now officially announced the film. And they have disclosed its theatrical release date via social media posts.
Karan Johar took to Instagram to reveal a "new movie" starring Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk, and Triptii Dimri. "Bringing together three powerhouses of talent - Vicky Kaushal, Ammy Virk, and Triptii Dimri, led by the deft vision of director Anand Tiwari. Look out for the blast coming your way as this film makes its way to the theatres this August 25." Fans were ecstatic when the film's formal announcement was made! Zoya Akhtar responded with a cheerful emoji, and Shweta Bachchan added, "Woo hoo all the best guys x."
Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari produced the untitled film. It is the second collaboration between Amazon Prime Video and Dharma Productions. The film follows the July 7 release of Sidharth Malhotra's Yodha.
Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri shot this film in Croatia last year, in June 2022. Farah Khan, the film's choreographer, joined them and shared a delightful video. In the video they were seen recreating a popular Shah Rukh Khan song with the film's crew. Vicky is seen dancing with Farah Khan to SRK's song Tumse Milke Dil Ka from the 2004 film Main Hoon Naa. Alongside him are Triptii, Amritpal Bindra, Anand Tiwari, and other members of the film's team.
