Malayalam stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Dulquer Salmaan may fall in a legal soup as their cars spotted racing in Kottayam-Kochi road. A video of these cars racing along the road went viral on social media. The Motor Vehicles Department of Kerala has initiated a probe and investigating the incident.
As of now, there is no evidence of the over speeding of these sports cars. In the video, we can see two men on bike chasing three cars, a red Porsche, a silver Porsche, and a black Lamborghini. The men on the bike chased the cars and tried calling the actors. But from the video, it is unsure whether the actors are there in the cars or not.
Speaking to a media house, Rajeev Puthalath, Joint Transport Commissioner (Enforcement) with the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in Kerala, stated that they have launched a probe on this case. However, there is no solid evidence of over speeding as the speed cameras are not working on that road stretch. Rajeev said that the cameras along that road got damaged due to the recent floods. The department is in the process of replacing them. Rajeev further stated that if found guilty, they will book a case Section 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act. He also added that from the video, it seems that the cars are not over speeding but the bike is over speeding to chase them. Meanwhile, the actors are yet to respond to the video.
