In her recent interviews, National Award-winning actress Vidya Balan revealed that a director from Tamil cinema was keen on meeting her in the hotel room. Though Vidya insisted to meet him at Coffee Shop, the director wanted to meet in her room.
She later opened the door of her room and started talking to him which disappointed the filmmaker who then walked out.
Vidya also shared how a Tamil film producer rejected her, citing her looks and broke her self-confidence.
Vidya said she had a difficult time dealing with the rejection. “I felt ugly... I felt like sh*t for months and I don’t think I looked at myself in the mirror... I didn’t like what I saw because I thought I was ugly... For the longest time, I did not forgive that man, but today, thanks to that, I realised that I have to love and accept myself the way I am.”
Years later, Vidya Balan made her Tamil debut recently with Ajith's Nerkonda Paarvai.
