Vikram Vedha pair Madhavan and Shraddha Srinath once again teamed up for the movie Maara, which is an adaptation of Malayalam film Charlie, which had Dulquer Salmaan and Parvathy in the lead roles. Debutant director Dhilip Kumar was brought on board to helm this remake. The film skipped theatrical release and directly released on Amazon Prime Video on January 8. Maara has been receiving positive reviews for its heartwarming story. Now, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan has taken to Twitter to share his thoughts about Maara.
Vignesh Shivan wrote, "@ActorMadhavan takes us back to Alaipaayudhey days ! Man does he even age!? You were fabulous sir! @ShraddhaSrinath looks fabulous and gives a wonderful performance! Madhavan called him a Rockstar and wrote, "Brooo you are such a rockstar. Thank you soooo much .. means so much coming from you... the team is estates. A BIG MAARA HUG (sic)." Maara also has Sshivada Nair, Mouli, Abhirami, standup comedian Alexander Babu and several others in important roles.
