Multiple reliable reports are claiming that a top OTT platform is offering the makers of Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger in excess of Rs 200 crores for the direct to digital rights of the film. It is said that the makers of the action thriller are indeed considering the offer.
Interestingly enough, Vijay Deverakonda took it upon himself to clarify on Liger’s direct to digital release speculations.
Sharing a picture which reads Liger’s direct to digital release speculation, Vijay wrote, “Too little. I’ll do more in the theaters.”
Vijay Deverakonda’s swaggery and his wittiness are clearly seen in this post. The tweet is going viral now and the whole development has added more buzz to the film, as a whole. It also confirms that the film will be releasing only in theatres.
Vijay is set to resume shooting for Liger early next month and the forthcoming schedule will be taking place in Hyderabad. The lead cast is expected to take part in the coming schedule.
Liger is directed by Puri Jagannadh and it stars Ananya Panday in the female lead role. The boxing-based sports drama is prpduced by Karan Johar, Puri Jagannadh and Charmmy Kaur.
