He intended to express his gratitude towards the police personnel who have been working day and night. The actor appeared without a mask during the conference. The actor was trolled for adhering to the protocols himself.
Vijay Deverakonda held the video conference from the Commissioner of Police’s office. Twittwratis noticed that the actor was not wearing a mask. The actor has received severe backlash on Twitter.

The actor had recently posted a photo of himself wearing a cloth mask on Instagram. He captioned it, "My loves, Hope you are all staying safe...Cloth face covering will help the slow disease spread. Fans were now asking the actor why he is not practising what he is preaching on social media.
