As some in the media speculate, actor Vijay Sethupathi is not playing the antagonist in director Sukumar's 'Pushpa 2: The Rule.'
A source close to the actor told IANS that Vijay Sethupathi was currently only playing the villain in director Atlee's 'Jawan,' starring Shah Rukh Khan and Nayanthara, and that he was not playing a negative role in any other Telugu projects.
A section of the media reported that Vijay Sethupathi had been cast in the sequel to the hugely successful Telugu film 'Pushpa: The Rise,' starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil.
Sukumar previously told IANS that he had shot some scenes for 'Pushpa: The Rule,' but that they would have to be reshot.
"I will have to shoot the entire film," Sukumar told IANS, adding that the film would be released on December 16, 2022, the same day he released 'Pushpa 2:The Rise' on December 17, 2021.
