A lot of appreciation is being given to Vijay Varma for his performance in Darlings. It's a Jasmeet K. Reen-directed film. Darlings, which also stars Alia Bhatt, Shefali Shah, and Roshan Mathew. He has also gotten a lot of praise in the past for his roles in Mirzapur and Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy. According to information that has come to light, Ronnie Screwvala, Ashi Dua, and Netflix are supporting the upcoming anthology Lust Stories 2. It features a piece directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The lead actress is currently being cast, but she should be chosen soon.
It's interesting to note that Vijay and Sujoy already worked together on The Devotion of Suspect X. A film which also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat. Vijay's character in Lust Stories 2 is significantly different from what he has before played. According to a person familiar with the film, and the actor-director team is eager to work together once more on this project. Soon after they identify the starring lady for the anthology, they will begin filming.
In the meantime, Pinkvilla recently revealed that R Balki had cast Neena Gupta, Angad Bedi, and Mrunal Thakur in Lust Stories 2. Kajol is the star of Amit Ravindernath Sharma's movie. Konkona Sen Sharma's part stars Tillotama Shome and Amruta Subhash. The directors of Lust Stories 1 were Dibakar Banerjee, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, and Karan Johar.
The anthology series that started with Bombay Talkies in 2013 went on to include Lust Stories five years later. Ghost Stories in 2020, and Lust Stories again in 2023.
