According to rumours, Vijay has chosen Lokesh Kanagaraj to direct his upcoming movie. The film is tentatively titled "Thalapathy 67". It will be Lokesh and Vijay's first collaboration since "Master." According to rumours, Sanjay Dutt, Nivin Pauly, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and other actors would appear in the gangster drama that is expected to start filming on 2023. However, the producers are yet to make an official announcement.
The last movie that Lokesh Kanagaraj directed was "Vikram". It starred Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil, and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The movie grossed more than Rs 500 crores at the box office. During the first week of November, the cast and crew of "Vikram" celebrated 100 days of the film on Kamal Haasan's birthday.
After "Vikram," fans anticipate that Lokesh would continue to explore the themes of criminals, drugs, and law enforcement in his established cinematic universe. "Kaithi" and "Vikram" are films from the universe.
