Viju Khote, famously know for the role of 'Kalia' in Sholay passes away at 77
Veteran actor Viju Khote, best known for playing the role of 'Kalia' in the ever- green blockbuster Sholay, passed away on Monday at the age of 77.
Vijay Khote was a marathi actor who featured in over 300 Hindi and Marathi films. But what made him popular, was his role of Gabbar's sidekick Kalia.
The actor bid farewell to the world on Monday morning (30th September 2019).He suffered a massive heart attack and is survived by his elder sister, Shubha Khote and niece Bhavna Balsavar.
Viju Khote mostly played supporting characters, but his roles were significant to the film. His iconic roles apart from Kalia are 'Robert' from Andaaz Apna Apna for his iconic line 'galti se mistake ho gaya'. And 'Maan Singh' in Qayamat se Qayamat tak.
The actor also worked in many Marathi films including Priyanka Chopra's Ventilator. His last stint on the big screen was Jaane Kyu De Yaaron. People from the Industry are paying their last tribute to the veteran actor, who death is a big loss to the industry.
