Cobra, directed by Ajay Gnanamuthu, Vikram's most eagerly awaited movie of the year, hit theatres on August 31. According to reports, the movie made Rs 17 crore at the box office in just two days. The movie's satellite and over-the-top (OTT) digital rights were acquired within hours after its release, and it is anticipated that the movie will have its digital premiere in the first week of October.
Within two days of its theatrical release, the movie had already been a victim of piracy. The movie has reportedly been illegally leaked online and is currently accessible on nearly four different internet platforms, including Tamilrockers, Telegram, Filmyzilla, and Movierulz. Being released on a Wednesday, the film was eagerly anticipating its weekend box office haul.
The movie "Cobra," which also stars Vikram, Srinidhi Shetty, Irfan Pathan, Mrinalini Ravi, Roshan Mathew, and Robo Shankar, was released on August 31 in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. AR Rahman wrote the soundtrack for the film.
The main character of the movie is Vikram, who portrays a brilliant mathematician while also going by the alias Cobra, who commits numerous crimes and is regarded as the world's best assassin.
