Vikram watches Karnan, appreciates director Mari Selvaraj

Chiyaan Vikram hardly makes public appearences. Recently, he went by walk to cast his vote in the recently concluded Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections. The actor is presently shooting for his upcoming film with director Karthik Subbaraj and Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selvan. Even during his busy schedule, he took some time out to watch the special screening of director Mari Selvaraj's Karnan. Produced by Kalipuli S Thanu, the film stars Dhanush, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan and Naratajan Subramaniam in the lead roles.

Chiyaan Vikram surprised director Mari Selvaraj and made him happy with his comments. Vikram's publicist Yuvaraj shared photos of their meet-up and wrote, "#ChiyaanVikram sir appreciates director @mari_selvaraj sir after watching #Karnan !! (sic)." Karnan hit the theatres on April 9 and received overwhelming performances from the audience and critics alike. The film spoke about caste discrimination and the injustice meted out to the people. The film also features Gouri Kishan, Lakshmipriyaa Chandramouli, Azhagam Perumal in supporting roles.
