Deiva Thirumagal is one of the critically acclaimed movies in Tamil. Vikram and Anushka played the lead roles in the movie. Amala Paul is also a part of the film, in a key role of the movie. AL Vijay directed the movie and it came under the production of M. Chinthamani and Ronnie Screwvala. The movie got dubbed in Telugu with the title, Nanna. Vikram essayed the role of a mentally challenged adult with the maturity of a five-year-old boy. His role expresses intellectual disability and mental disorder while Sara Arjun played his daughter in the film. The movie completes 9 years of the release today.
 
Sachin Khedkar, Nassar, and Santhanam played pivotal roles in the movie too. G. V. Prakash Kumar worked as the music composer of the film. Nirav Shah worked as the cinematographer and Anthony worked as the editor. Deiva Thirumagal brought out the best from Vikram, as an actor. Sara Arjun too proved her caliber by putting out a decent performance in the film. The movie has got a great concept that was accepted well but for some reason, it could not open to a great commercial uproar.
 
Apart from Telugu and Tamil, the movie also got dubbed into Japanese as Kamisama ga Kureta Musume.
