Vimala Raman And Sonia Aggarwal Join Hands For A Film Titled Grandma

Sonia Aggarwal and Vimala Raman have been roped in to play lead roles in a film titled Grandma, which will be directed by newcomer Shijinlal SS. The film also has Charmila and child artiste Pournami Raj in important roles. Vimala Raman will be playing the role of an advocate while Charmila will play the role of a grandmother whose film's story is hinged on. Malayalam star Hemanth Menon has been roped in to play the villain in the film.

Speaking to the Times of India, Shijinlal said, "The film is a horror movie-cum-survival thriller that is set mainly in a bungalow in a forest. We have largely shot the film in the hillsides of Kerala. This will not be a routine horror movie. For one, there won’t be a comedy, as is usual in our films. We have made a Hollywood-style horror film and visual effects will have importance in this one. I have known Sonia for the past seven years, and when scriptwriter Shibi came up with this story, I knew that she would be apt for the role. In addition to an emotional performance, Sonia will also be seen performing stunts in the film, especially in the climax. She has done many of the stunts without using any stunt double."
