Anushka Sharma and her brother Karnesh Sharma are back once again with another film produced under their banner. Clean Slate Films have produced a period horror film titled Bulbbul for Netflix India. Anvita Dutt has directed the film. Bulbbul stars Tripti Dimri, Rahul Bose, and Avinash Tiwari in lead roles.
Horror film fans are already praising Bulbbul for taking a feminist stand in a unique way. Anushka Sharma's husband and cricketer Virat Kohli also cannot help himself and has praised Anushka Sharma for producing such a good film. Virat shared the film's poster on his Instagram and captioned it writing, "Loved this moving story told in a brilliant way. Bhai Behen on fire @anushkasharma @kans26. Out now please don’t miss it guys. @officialcsfilms."
This is the second time in the last couple of months when Virat Kohli has openly praised Anushka Sharma's work. Previously Virat Kohli shared his views on Paatal Lok. He wrote, "Having watched the whole season of PAATAL LOK a while ago, I knew it’s a masterpiece of story telling, screenplay, and tremendous acting. Now having seen how people loved it too, just confirmed how I saw the show. Proud of my love @anushkasharma for producing sucha gripping series and believing in her team along with our bhaiji @kans26. Well done brother."
In an interview with IANS Anushka Sharma said that she was excited to work on a film project like Bulbbul. She said, "From the moment I heard ‘Bulbbul’, we immediately wanted to produce it. It is a fascinating, captivating, cinematic story dipped in folklore which we instantly fell in love with. Anvita’s storytelling is extremely unique and with ‘Bulbbul’ she is giving audiences something really clutter-breaking.
