Vishal's Chakra has bee lying on the shelves for a long time during the novel coronavirus pandemic. The Tamil Nadu government initially didn't permit the film's shooting as Covid-19 positive cases were surging. But, after the permission was given, Vishal and the entire Chakra team wrapped up the film remaining portions of the film in less than a week. So far, Chakra has been in post-production stage and was recently submitted to the Censor Board for certification. Vishal took to social media to reveal that the film has been given a U/A certificate.

Taking to Twitter, Vishal, who is the hero and the producer of the film wrote, "YES, we are Good to Go !! Tamil version of #Chakra censor is over, Certified U/A, Telugu on the way, Grand release worldwide in all languages on 19th Feb...Damn Excited #ChakraCensoredWithUA #ChakraFromFeb19 #ChakraInTheatres." Vishal's Chakra will release in theatres in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Directed by filmmaker MS Anandan, the film stars Shraddha Srinath, Regina Cassandra and Robo Shankar. Composer Yuvan Shankar Raja and cinematographer Balasubramaniam are part of the technical crew.
