Superstar Shah Rukh Khan
and Gauri Khan recently made a large contribution through their businesses towards Coronavirus relief. Red Chillies Entertainment and KKR that belong to King Khan have pledged to support humanitarian efforts in fighting Coronavirus. Now the chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee has thanked Shah Rukh Khan for his contribution.
Taking to Twitter Banerjee wrote, "Thank you @iamsrk, your contribution will help assist a lot of distressed people during these challenging times. Such humane benefaction will keep inspiring millions in this country who look up to you as their role model with respect and reverence (sic)."
Soon after the chief minister extended her thanks, Shah Rukh Khan replied. He wrote, "দিদি, আপনার নিঃস্বার্থ মানবিক কাজে, একটি ভাই হয়ে হাত বাড়ানো আমার কর্তব্য।

It looks like Banerjee was very pleased by Shah Rukh Khan's response. Taking to Twitter once again she responded writing, "So nice of you and your sweet words @iamsrk, I am indeed blessed to have someone who always tries to keep up and fulfil his duties of a brother. All of us in Bengal love you and pray for your good health. Keep up your good work, stay safe and take care of your family (sic)."
Other big stars in Bollywood have also contributed to the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. Akshay Kumar donated Rs. 25 crores to the PM Relief fund. Salman Khan, on the other hand, is supporting 25000 daily wage earners in the cinema industry.
