What Has Aamir Khan Done To Deserve This Asks Mona Singh In Response To Calls For A Boycott Of Laal Singh Chaddha

Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, is now playing in theatres. The movie is a Forrest Gump adaptation made in India. While reviewers and viewers gave the movie mixed reviews when it first came out, the ticket sales fell short of projections. But some groups have also called for a boycott. Even before the movie's debut, the hashtags started to gain popularity on social media. The movie's lead actress, Mona Singh, has responded to the boycott controversy.

Less than a day after its theatrical debut, Laal Singh Chaddha, has run into legal issues. Advait Chandan filed an FIR against Aamir Khan, Paramount Pictures, the director, and other parties. The FIR is for allegedly "disrespecting the Indian Army and hurting Hindu Sentiments" in the film.  Delhi-based attorney Vineet Jindal submitted a complaint. He gave it to Delhi Police commissioner Sanjay Arora on Friday.

Singh said in an interview with India Today, "I was very sad. I mean, what has Aamir Khan done to deserve this? He is a guy who has always entertained us for the last 30 years. But I was very confident that the boycotters would come around once they started seeing that the film is resonating with every Indian."

Aamir Khan is the star of the Laal Singh Chaddha film. The movie is made by Kiran Rao, Viacom18 Studios, and Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
