Malavika Wales made her debut in Malayalam cinema with the movie Malarvadi Arts Club. Malavika has also acted in some Malayalam television serials. In an interview, Malavika talks about her interest in acting and how she learned acting.
“My father insisted that I understand the field well before going into the cinema. That is how I decided to join Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares, an acting school in Mumbai. I took a three-month diploma course there. When I was studying, I was the only Malayalee student there. I got classes from many famous filmmakers there. Anupam Kher used to take classes directly. He has respect for all languages;” said Malavika.
Malavika also said about Anupam Kher congratulating her at the acting school.
I did acting sessions in Malayalam and English. When I finished doing the drama in Malayalam, Anupam Kher came and hugged me happily. It can never be forgotten. Yoga, dance, and karate were among the subjects of study. It was only a three months course, even I learned about the technical side as well. It molded me very well;” Malavika added.
On the work front, Malavika is currently acting in two films. Allu Arjun starrer Telugu film Pushpa and Tamil film Don. Her Malayalam film Don is under post-production works. Further details about the film are yet to be released. Her last film released was the Tamil film Azhagumagan
