Director Alphonse Puthren makes waves on the internet. Alphonse shared a Facebook post asking about what is called realistic movies. Alphonse came up with some questions for his favorite directors in a post shared on Facebook.
Alphonse starts the post by mentioning the names of the directors. He then asks directors why are realistic films given awards 99 percent time.
“A question to my favorite directors .. Priyadarshan sir, Adoor Gopalakrishnan sir, Sankar sir, Kamal Hassan sir, SS Rajamouli sir, Sathyan Anthikkad sir, Pratap Pothen sir, Fazil sir, Bharathi Raja sir, and Joshi sir. What is a realistic film or a film with a realistic portrayal? Can you ever make something real in the cinema if the camera is switched on for the purpose of shooting? Anyone can draw the Elephant he likes right? Imagine there are So many Elephants from different perspectives… why are realistic films given awards 99 percent time?
As a creator, I think it is very easy to create something realistic. I think it is easy to draw an elephant the way it is. What if a person draws a flying elephant and what if one person draws an elephant listening to music and walking on the road? What is this creative stage for? Are the awards always for elephants drawn in a cliche way or a realistic way? What is your perspective of encouraging talent? Or what do you think about realistic films?” wrote Alphonse on Facebook.
Gold is Alphonse's movie that fans have been waiting for a long time. Nayanthara and Prithviraj play the lead roles in the film Gold. Baburaj, Shammi Thilakan, Abu Salim, Ajmal Ameer, and Roshan Mathew are some of the big names featured in the film.
