Why Did Karthik Subbaraj's Film With Thalapathy Vijay Did Not Work?

Karthik Subbaraj is one of the promising filmmakers in the Tamil film industry. His last work was Chiyaan Vikram and Dhruv Vikram's Mahaan, which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Recently, Karthik Subbaraj was interacting with the regional media after his production venture, Buffoon, hit the theatres last week. For the promotions of Buffoon, Karthik Subbaraj was in conversation with many media channels and spoke about his film with Thalapathy Vijay. In an interaction, Karthik Subbaraj opened up about his desire to work with Thalapathy Vijay. He further added that he had narrated a script to Vijay a few years ago, but it didn't materialize.

Karthik Subbaraj said that the story that was narrated to Vijay did not meet the actor's expectations. He further added that he will soon narrate a new script to Vijay and hopes to fulfill Vijay's expectations. Karthik Subbaraj explained that he will start working on such a script in the coming months. On the work front, Karthik Subbaraj is currently working on his upcoming film, Jigarthanda 2. The film's shooting will kickstart in October. Earlier, he said that Jigarthanda 2 will have a different story and that it wasn't a sequel to the film of the same name, which starred Siddharth and Bobby Simhaa.
