Director Vinayan explains why Siju Wilson is the hero in ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’. Vinayan says that many people have asked him if he wanted a superstar to play the lead in the big-budget film. Vinayan says that the hero was not a superstar even in Bahubali. Pathonpatham Noottandu (trans. 19th Century) is the new big-budget film directed by Vinayan.
Vinayan's explanation came in a Facebook post sharing the film's 19th character poster. He shared the first look poster of the character Perumal played by Gogulam Gopalan. Gogulam Gopalan is also the producer of the film.
“Some friends asked me if I didn't want a superstar when I was spending so much money. I have to tell them that the hero was not even a superstar in' Bahubali ', the biggest blockbuster in the history of Indian cinema. Actor Prabhas became a superstar after that film. Apart from the fact that some limited business will be done in advance in the name of stardom, the film will get big business and name only when it becomes attractive;” wrote Vinayan.
The nineteenth century will be not only a great action-packed historical film but also a film with a compelling story and moments. Vinayan also talked about his hit film 'Athbhuthadweep'.
“Sixteen years ago, when Malayalam cinema was not so technologically advanced, a fantasy story that came to my mind was made into a film. The film is called 'Athbhuthadweep' with the participation of about 300 short children. One of the things that inspire me the most is that the film is still discussed by the youth of today. The film was released in 2005 with as much technology as possible on a large canvas. Hopes are high that ‘Pathonpatham Noottandu’ will be a dream come true project. That too is under the banner of a strong production company like Sri Gokulam Movies. And with the presence of many stars who are twice as beautiful and perfect;” Vinayan added.
Pathonpatham Noottandu is an upcoming Malayalam film written and directed by Vinayan. The film stars Siju Wilson, Anoop Menon, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Indrans in the lead roles.
