A woman is often judged by her profession in our society. The preconceived notion that a homemaker's job is simple and unworthy-- is exactly what needs to be changed. To add to this, singer Shilpa Rao has a special message on the occasion of Women's Day. Talking exclusively with Xappie, Shilpa says that every woman is special irrespective of her profession.
"We can see a global uprising where women are talking about various issues like how they used to look. How people make fun of that or how difficult it is to make a mark as a working woman. Even someone who is a homemaker. I guess what I am trying to say here is every woman no matter what she is doing and in the way she is doing, her job, her work anything that she does is not simple. There are a lot of preconceived baggage and preconceived conditioning that we have faced since we were a kid. To kind of take that leap of faith into being a woman of her own opinion and thoughts. I admire every woman that is doing and living her life on her own terms, " she said.
Shilpa Rao is the lady behind some of the beautiful songs of Bollywood like Ghungroo (War), Subhanallah (Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani), Khuda Jaane (Bachna Ae Haseeno) and others. She was recently honoured with the Filmfare Award for Best Playback singer (Female) for Ghungroo from the film War.
