Ever since the first trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 dropped everyone left wondering about the comeback made by Steve Trevor. Amused by the 1980s life in America, we can see Steve bewildered and joyful alongside Diana in the trailer. Yet everyone who has seen the first Wonder woman film already knows that Steve died at the end of the last film.
While there still isn't much known about Trevor's return in the upcoming wonder woman film, fans have speculated that Maxwell Lord has something to do with it. Lord is one of the villains in the film alongside Cheetah. Chris Pine who plays Steve Trevor in the live-action film recently spoke about Trevor's character development in the new film.
"In the first movie, I played the world-weary soldier who has seen all the depravity that humankind is capable of displaying. And in this one I get to be much more wide-eyed and joyful,” Pine explained to EW.
Even in the film's trailer, Pine's character is thinking that a garbage can is some kind of art. It will be interesting to see what the filmmakers do with the character of Steve Trevor in the film. Speaking more about his role in the film, Chris Pine said, "My role is really just as a friend, lover, boyfriend-cum-bodyguard who’s trying his best to help Diana on her mission….I'm like the Watson to her Holmes."
