Placido Domingo who is a world-famous Opera Singer has confirmed that he has tested positive for Coronavirus. The singer shared the news with his fans on Facebook earlier last night. Domingo is among the many famous celebrities who have been struck by the global pandemic.
Domingo said that he got himself tested for the virus after he started having, 'fever and cough symptoms.' In his Facebook post, the singer wrote, "I feel it is my moral duty to announce to you that I have tested positive for COVID19."
Domingo also told his followers that he is following all protocol and is under self-isolation. "My family and I are all in self-isolation for as long as it is deemed medically necessary, " he added.
The famous singer also added an optimistic message for his fans. He asked everyone to take care of their health and wait patiently until the health crisis gets over. He wrote, "Together we can fight this virus and stop the current worldwide crisis, so we can hopefully return to our normal daily lives very soon."
Placido Domingo is originally a Spanish Tenor. He resigned from the post of the general director at Los Angeles Opera last year after being accused of sexual harassment.
