Yashoda has caught the imagination of many as it stars Samantha in a lead role. This film is Samantha's first Pan India project and she has pinned a lot of hopes on it and is all set to go on a promotional spree before the release on 11th December this year. The film is a thriller and deals with the issue of surrogacy.
If you observe the trailers, Samantha has dubbed in her own voice for the Tamil and Telugu versions. This is only the second time she has done that. Generally, singer Chinmayi dubs for her and now as per the media, she has issues with Sam and that is the reason, she has not been dubbed. This left Sam in no man's land and she had to dub.
The inside info is also that the makers asked Sam to avoid dubbing as her Telugu dialect has a Tamil flavor. But Sam has taken this as a prestige question and dubbed it for herself. This is a big move and can go against the film as the audience are so used to Chinmayi dubbing for her. But Sam has taken a risk.
The film is based on a happening topic of surrogacy and is released in Hindi as well. Samantha has also hired a reputed PR firm in Mumbai and a noted heroine will dub for her in Bollywood. For now, we need to see whether this big move will affect Yashoda or not.
