Thank God has been generating a ton of buzz ever since its trailer debuted. Fans adore the movie's trailer, which stars Sidharth Malhotra, Ajay Devgn, and Rakul Preet Singh. The first song, Manike, which was aired last Friday, is the one aspect of the movie that has garnered all the attention. The song has a special appearance by Nora Fatehi and is the original Hindi adaptation of the Sri Lankan singer Yohani's famous song Manike Mage Hithe.
Yohani had always expressed a desire to sing in a Bollywood film. She responded, “I honestly didn’t think that it would be in a movie at first or it would be translated into Hindi and I would be able to sing it at all when this song first happened" when asked about her reaction to obtaining the chance to sing in Thank God. But, I am so glad that it happened and I had to go through some challenges to do the song because it was in Hindi but I think at the end of the day, it all came together.”
Yohani said, "It took so long to be honest," in reference to the length of time it took her to learn Hindi. "It took about 6 months and 3 teachers just to get 1 song so I am not too sure how I am going to get the rest of it. But it was really interesting for me because it was a different language altogether and learning it and its meaning of it was really fun so I enjoyed the process of it. So that made me push myself and learn it harder.”
Sidharth Malhotra and Nora Fatehi are featured in the Manike music video, and people have been smitten by their passionate chemistry. Yohani expressed her admiration for the wonderful video by saying, “I absolutely love it. It’s amazing. I have watched it a couple of times, the choreography is also really nice and I think Ganesh Hegde has done an amazing job, I love it. All of my friends in Srilanka loved it too.”
For those who are unaware, Thank God is Sidharth's first theatrical release following Marjaavaan in 2019. After De De Pyaar De and Runway 34, this movie is Rakul Preet Singh's third on-screen association with Ajay Devgn. Additionally, Sidharth and Rakul Preet, who have previously collaborated on the films Aiyaary and Marjaavaan, will be seen on screen together for the third time.
