Yuvan Shankar Raja is a well-known music composer. He is now the most recent member of the Tamil film community to receive the Golden Visa. He follows actor Chiyaan Vikram, who was recently honoured by the United Arab Emirates.
The United Arab Emirates has periodically awarded Golden Visas to Kollywood celebrities over the past couple of years. The golden visa is a long-term residency that allow foreigners to live and operate in the UAE without the need for a local sponsor.
R Parthiepan, an actor and filmmaker, received the United Arab Emirates' Golden Visa earlier in December 2021. He is the first actor from the Tamil language to do so. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan from the Tamil cinema community earned the Golden Visa from the United Arab Emirates earlier in July. Recently Golden Visas were awarded to veteran actor Nasser Rahman and director Venkat Prabhu. Trisha, Raai Laxmi, and actress Amala Paul also received Golden Visas earlier in January.
On the work front, Yuvan Shankar Raja is currently working on Vishal's "Laththi," Santhanam's "Agent Kannayiram," Iraivan Miga Periyavan, "Mr. Zoo Keeper," and several other films.
