Zayed Khan recently talked about his comeback movie TFTNW in an interview. He talked about how difficult it was for him when his movies didn't do well at the box office. He also discussed the relationship he has with his handsome actor-director father, Sanjay Khan, as well as how his family has provided him with unwavering support.
Zayed Khan stated, “I am blessed to have my family. They have been with me through thick and thin. I went through a very rough patch. I was not taking care of myself. I was not in a good frame of mind. And I am a very proud person. I don’t always complain. I don’t tell people about my failures but I love to share with them my successes. But it’s amazing when people understand that and they are there for you, not just my family but even certain friends. Family is the reason why I gave up films and it’s the reason why I resurrected myself. It’s my greatest weakness and my greatest strength.”
Zayed Khan confessed that his father Sanjay Khan wasn't overly thrilled with the younger Khan doing a parody movie like TFTNW. “When I told my father that I am doing this film, he said, ‘Kya bakwaas hai yeh’! I told him, ‘Pops, trust me’. He said, ‘No, I can’t trust you’! But I insisted, ‘It’s a new age film. You might not understand this now but let us make it’. When I showed him the rushes, he said, ‘You’re on to something’! Seasoned people can sense it, I guess.”
According to rumours, Sanjay Khan has a brief appearance in the movie. As a result, the father-son team will finally share screen time. Zayed Khan declined to comment on this matter. However, he continued, “My father has seen the film, and his feedback was, ‘You have finally become an actor’! It was nice to hear. For him to say that, it would mean that I have matured into understanding what acting is about. Quite honestly, after doing this film, I fell in love with acting all over again. I knew what I was born for or what my purpose in life is.”
Zayed Khan will play the lead part in a major movie that Sanjay Khan is preparing for. Zayed said, “It’s a big-budget military saga. I hope I do justice, as it’s a very tough role. For the first time in his life, he felt that I deserved a film. He has never made a film with me before. He's been working on the script for the last 3 years. Javed Siddiqui is writing the dialogues. I am in the midst of preparing for the role right now. A lot is expected from me and I am going for workshops, military training etc.”
On asking for further details, “Fingers crossed. As of now, I am looking forward to TFTNW. We are happy with the product and content with ourselves. We can’t wait for people to see it.”
