Zeenat Aman has shared the second part of her tribute to actor Dev Anand on her Instagram. In her latest post, she shared a throwback picture with Dev Anand while detailing her shooting experience in Nepal for the film Ishk Ishk Ishk. Despite starring in many films with Dev Anand, Zeenat Aman mentioned that he never made her sign a contract as part of any additional conditions.
Previously, Zeenat had referred to Dev Anand as her 'Starmaker' in her first post. In the post, she shared how she was cast in the movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna while her family was planning to leave India. In the new post, Zeenat shared a picture with Dev Anand from the set of Ishk Ishk Ishk and admired how 'stylish' it looked. In the picture, they were seen standing in the backdrop of the snow-clad mountains of Pokhara, Nepal.
Zeenat recounted her journey of shooting her next film after Hare Rama Hare Krishna. She played the titular role of Panna in Heera Panna released in 1973. Zeenat mentioned that the age gap between Dev Anand and herself was nearly 30 years. And he had cast her in a romantic lead role for the first time in Ishk Ishk Ishk, which was shot in Pokhara.
Dev Anand asked Zeenat if she had any model friends who could join the project, and she invited several friends to join them in Nepal. The film featured a bevy of lovely women as Zeenat's sisters and friends. Zeenat hinted at plenty of dalliances and heartbreaks unfolding behind the scenes.
Zeenat noted that Dev Anand never suggested the possibility of tying her to a contract, allowing her to spread her wings. Even though a misunderstanding grew between them, working with Dev Anand was seamless and joyful. They also starred together in several films made by other directors such as Darling, Darling, and Kalabaaz.
Ishk Ishk Ishk was the fourth directorial venture of Dev Anand that starred him alongside Zeenat Aman. The film was released in 1974 and also starred Kabir Bedi and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles.
