10cr. Found in DMK’s leader’s office, EC seeks to cancel Vellore poll!
With the heavy blow from the failure of the recent phase-1 polling to the Election Commission, especially in Andhra Pradesh, EC has decided not to take any chances ahead of the second phase Lok Sabha polling. As Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to April 18th in Tamil Nadu, Election Commission seeks to cancel the polling in Vellore Rs.10 crores were found in DMK leader’s office.
₹10 crore was seized from the office of DM Kathir Anand, DMK's candidate for Tamil Nadu's Vellore parliamentary constituency, the Election Commission on Monday recommended to President Ram Nath Kovind that elections in the constituency be canceled. The EC cited the suspected use of money power to influence voters.
In Andhra Pradesh, there was a miserable failure from Election Commission as about 400 EVM’s were malfunctioned and clashes went all over the state taking two lives with them. Reportedly Rigging was happened in few places and it seems like EC took everything into account from this experience to conduct the upcoming phases in a clean and calm manner.
