Abhinanadan's bravery is now part of school syllabus in Rajasthan
Students of Rajasthan will soon read the story of IAF Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman as the part of their school syllabus. Rajasthan’s education department made this announcement to honour the commander’s bravery during his captivity by the Pakistan Army.
The State's Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra took to his Twitter to announce the same. “Abhinandan’s story of bravery will be introduced in the school syllabus of Rajasthan in a bid to honour him. #AbhinandanDiwas” read his tweet. He also proposed to add the tragedy of Pulwama attacks in the syllabus.
The government took the decision to add Abhinandan’s story as he pursued his primary education in Jodhpur. The ministry has also appointed a review committee to look into the possibilities. However, the classes which would take Wing Commander Abhinandan’s story as the syllabus is not mentioned.
With the initiatives like reviewing the syllabus and inaugurating a defense academy, the education department is taking all necessary steps to strengthen the youth of Rajasthan.
