During this pre-poll period, Naidu is facing a real tough time who is unable to safeguard his party members. After Anakapalli MP Avanti Srinivas and Amalapuram MP Pandula Ravindra Babu, stage is set for another Parliament member for the defection into YSRCP party. He is Thota Narasimham from Kakinada. A week ago this leader met the party chief Chandrababu Naidu and informed that he was unable to contest as MP from Kakinada as he was not keeping good health.
As per the sources, it is just an excuse from him who decided to leave the ruling party as YSRCP is likely to clinch power in the upcoming polls. He asked Babu to give assembly ticket to his wife Thota Vani from Jaggampet constituency of East Godavari district which he had represented the assembly twice in the past. It was because it is already known that Naidu already promised the assembly seat of that constituency to the senior leader Jyothula Nehru, who had defected from YSRC to TDP a couple of years ago.
Hence, strategically Thota gave a hint that he would jump into YSCP which has bright chances to win in upcoming polls as Babu would reject his proposal anyway. On Tuesday, Thota met former minister and YSR Congress party senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana at his residence at Veeravaram in Kirlampudi mandal in East Godavari district. These two discussed about half an hour and it is certain that he will enter into YSRCP after getting a concrete assurance from YS Jagan.
