AP former speaker Kodela Siva Prasad commits suicide and passes away

After facing charges of allegedly taking assembly furniture to his home, Andhra Pradesh former speaker Kodela Siva Prasad has attempted suicide in the Basavatarakam hospital. Being depressed with the ill-treatment from his own party, he was reportedly committed suicide and died.

Since last few days, the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy-led YSRCP government in Andhra Pradesh had brought considerable heat on Kodela on this issue when it was found that some official furniture which was shifted from Hyderabad to Vijayawada after the bifurcation was found missing and it came to light that it is with former speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao.
He was then hospitalized in a private Hospital in Guntur with chest congestion followed by a Heart attack. Later he was reportedly shifted to Hyderabad for better medical care. Now as he committed suicide, there was a difficulty in breathing and was put on a ventilator.
Mr. Rao developed chest pain after serious allegations of stealing assembly furniture and many raids were conducted by Police, Revenue and Assembly officials who recovered several items from Gowtam Hero showroom belonging to Sivaprasad Rao's son Sivarama Krishna in Guntur.
Official confirmation from the doctors is being awaited but the staff from the hospital confirmed that he was dead.
