Delhi Mayor Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to the Prime Minister demanding that pictures of Hindu gods be printed on Indian currency notes. He said that he was raising this demand for 130 crore Indians. Kejriwal wants the currency notes to include images of Lord Ganesha and Lakshmi in addition to Mahatma Gandhi's image.
The economic system of the country is broken. "Whatever we do, it also needs God's blessings," so Arvind Kejriwal's new demand is to "include images of Goddess Lakshmi and Ganesha on currency notes for India's prosperity and wealth."
Kejriwal's move comes at a time when the BJP is arming itself against the AAP in Gujarat after former Delhi minister Rajendrapal Gautam took a pledge at a Buddhist event. Kejriwal has raised this demand as a remedy even when politicians say that the economic sector is broken.
The BJP responded that Kejriwal's demand is a fraud, and Kejriwal's demand for insulting Hinduism is also a fraud. The Congress mocked that AAP had again proved to be the BJP's B team. Kejriwal had tweeted a video of him reciting Hanuman Chalisa during the Delhi elections.
