Ashwin Mankads Buttler as KXIP beats RR by 14 runs
Kings XI Punjab registered they are first-ever win Jaipur by beating the home team Rajasthan Royals by 14 runs. Punjab batted first to post a big total of 184 on the board for the loss of Four wickets. Chris Gayle stormed and scored a 47 ball 79 with 8 fours and 4 sixes. Ex-RCBian, pocket dynamo Sarfraz Khan scored good 46 off 29 balls. Kulkarni and Stokes took 3 wickets each.
Chasing 185, Royals went off to a flying start with the fireworks of Buttler and scored 64 off the first six overs. Rahane fell at 78 at 8.1 but Buttler swiftly moved to his half-century and then was Mankhded by R. Ashwin in a controversial way.
After that, there was no stopping the Kings as they took 7 wickets in the last 7 overs after Buttler departed for 69. Thanks to a stunning catch from KL Rahul to send Steve Smith back in a great over by Sam Curran and Mujeeb took care of Stokes after he was hit for a Six.
Shami bowled beautifully in the 19th over with 27 runs to defend and its Kings all over Punjab at last. Curran, Mujeeb and Rajput shared 2 wickets each and Chris Gayle was awarded the Man of the match.
