Congress leader Mallikarjun back off from the debate of next CM involving his name

In a response to the CM Kumaraswamy who had recently said that Congress leader M. Mallikarjun Kharge must have been the CM and the public and leaders have responded across all the political parties. Mr Kharge says that he will neither think nor talk about this.

Mr Kharge says that either his party high command or anybody in the state has ever asked me to occupy the CM post.

I don’t think or talk much on the issue. Our high command did not ask me to become CM. Nor did anybody here [in the state] ask me [occupy the CM” s seat]. The question of who CM should be would not raise as [H.D] Kumaraswamy is working as CM of the coalition government. I can’t understand why the question arises time and again and debated in the media repeatedly. It is not good to stretch the issue with everybody responding to a statement made by a person in a context. The statement made by somebody in some context should be ended there itself. If everybody starts commenting and counter-commenting on it, it would create animosity among leaders and spoil the atmospheric in the party. Will see what decision the high command would take” he stated.

while talking to media, Deputy CM AND Congress leader G. Parameshwar say that H.D. Kumaraswamy will continue as the CM of a coalition government for the next four years.

The JDS chairman Siddaramaiah was tweeted on this issue, Mr Parameshwar declares that his party didn’t get embarrassed with the Tweet.

He said that “Many, including B.S Yeddyurappa, have expressed their view on the issue before Siddaramaiah tweeted. What CM said is that Mr Kharge could not be Chief Minister despite having competence and eligibility. I too endorse it add say the same thing. It is no wrong to say so. One may interpret Siddaramaiah’s as one likes and our party did not get embarrassed by it”.
