Debutant Alzarri Joseph Trolled Sunrisers Hyderabad!
Mumbai Indians ended CSK’s winning run in their previous match and will be an upbeat side. But on Saturday, batting on a slow surface MI scored 136/7 and in reply, Sunrisers Hyderabad folded for 96. Mumbai Indians won the match comfortably by 40 runs.
Alzarri Joseph claimed tournament-best figures of 6/12 on his Indian Premier League (IPL) debut as Mumbai Indians thrashed SunRisers Hyderabad by 40 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Saturday. The 22-year-old Windies fast bowler broke the record of Pakistan bowler Sohail Tanvir, who claimed 6/14 in the inaugural edition of the IPL in 2008.
Earlier, Kieron Pollard's breath-taking cameo powered Mumbai Indians to a respectable 136 for seven in their allotted 20 overs. Pollard smashed an unbeaten knock of 46 runs off 26 balls. In the second innings, Sunrisers Hyderabad sank to 96 all out in 17.4 overs.
This win lifted Mumbai Indians to the top half of the league table behind Chennai Super Kings, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders.
