Jofra Archer likely to miss IPL due to elbow injury

Jofra Archer was also deemed unfit to play in the ODI series between India and England which will be commencing on 23rd of this month. He will be heading back to England for further assessment of the injury to his right elbow. It is unlikely that he will be fit to get back on field by the commencement of IPL(April 9th).

The English Cricket Board is yet to comment about Archer’s injury and is expected to do so once they get the preliminary test reports. As things stand, he will be missing the ODI series and the start of the IPL.
England’s squad for the forthcoming ODI series against India:
Eoin Morgan, Moeen Ali, Jonny Bairstow, Sam Billings, Jos Buttler, Sam Curran, Tom Curran, Liam Livingstone, Matt Parkinson, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Ben Stokes , Reece Topley, Mark Wood.
The ECB and Rajasthan Royals team management will continue to monitor Archer’s situation and his recovery will determine his return to the IPL.
It is unlikely that Rajasthan will sign a replacement player and they would be hoping Archer gets back to full fitness at the earliest. He is an integral part of the team and spearheads their pace attack.
