Not many days after Boora Narsaiah Goud, the TRS Lok Sabha member from Bhongir made controversial statements that KCR is the only one capable of solving Kashmir and Ayodhya cases, another T-leader hit the headlines with his comments on the State's politics.
Mecha Nageswara Rao, TDP MLA from Ashwaraopeta constituency of Khammam district made a comment that Junior NTR may take over the party in the next two years. To everyone’s surprise, the leader went on and said that Jr NTR has come to the rescue of TDP party at the time when the party's popularity has been in threat ever since 2014.
The statements took prominence amidst the speculations that Mecha is planning to quit TDP to join TRS. Responding to these contemplations, Mecha said that he will not leave TDP though the officials of TRS has lured him. “I do believe that TDP has the potential to hit back with the coming elections under the visionary leadership of Chandrababu Naidu,” he added.
However, the comments passed by the MLA has created ripples in Telangana politics on which both the TDP and TRS are yet to respond.
