KPCC President Dinesh Gunudu Rao says BJP conspiring to get President’s rule imposed
KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao said the BJP is planning to impose the President’s rule by making it look like a constitutional crisis. Meeting on Kumaraswamy's confidence motion in Assembly, Dinesh said the BJP’s aim was to implement the president’s rule. He claimed it was removed from the records as BJP leaders took serious exemption to it.
He criticized the BJP “You hurry clearly shows that you are not confident of retaining the rebel MLAs. Hence you are trying to force deadlines on us. Your single aim is to occupy the CM’s chair.” He urged that “it is the MLAs’ right to speak on such issues, and we cannot curtail such a right, as freedom of speech is one of the basic characters of democracy.” By the allegation of governing coalition MLA Srinivas Gowda that BJP leaders had offered him Rs 5 crore to join the party, he said “what kind of an Opposition party is this,” he claimed.
Mr. Kumaraswamy said, “Let see whether you will be able to form the government, to will there be President’s rule?” He made his confidence motion.
