Kuldeep and Chahal are pillars of Indian bowling attack: Virat Kohli
Team Indian captain Virat Kohli expressed his confidence on the two wrist spinners that are a part of the 15 members WC squad for ICC World Cup 2019 which will be held in London in a few days.
Both Kuldeep Yadav and Yuzvendra Chahal have been a major part of the success story of the team India in recent years and this duo is popularly referred to as 'Kul-Cha.'
Captain Virat Kohli has said spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav are the two pillars of Team India's bowling lineup.
“In hindsight, if you look at it, someone like Kuldeep who has had so much success, it is important to see a period where things don’t go your way. We are glad that it happened in the IPL rather than during the World Cup,” Kohli said, firmly backing the spinner.
Since Kuldeep and Chahal’s arrival on the international arena in 2017, the two wrist-spinners have made a tremendous contribution to the Indian team in limited overs cricket. Chahal has 72 wickets in 41 ODIs at an average of 24.61 while Yadav has taken 87 wickets in 44 matches, averaging 21.74.
