Telangana Cabinet is the hot topic among all the political debates now. The reason is CM KCR’s unexpected decisions are facing a lot of criticism from all political units. During the first term, the lack of representation of women in the cabinet has given a lot of scope for criticism. But this time too KCR showed no interest in handing women a cabinet seat. This stunned everyone and called KCR a monarch.
Padma Devendar Reddy (Medak), Gongidi Sunitha (Aaleru) and Rekha Nayak (Khanapur) won on TRS Ticket in 2018 Assembly Polls. Speculations were abuzz that Padma Devendar Reddy will be offered cabinet berth and Rekha Nayak would be given Deputy Speaker post. It seems KCR have far better and different strategies with these decisions. In addition to that, he also subsided Harish Rao and his son KTR from the cabinet.
When Harish has been asked on this, he told that he will follow the chief’s decisions as always and he wanted all his sympathizers to stay calm and he doesn’t tolerate if anyone wants defames his party’s supremo. Taking everyone to surprise, none of the Leaders were inducted into the TRS Cabinet under ST Quota. Chandulal served as a minister in the first term. Girijans were denied representation in the first cabinet expansion.
The second phase of cabinet expansion will be inducted by KCR after Loksabha polls. So, that might be the time where Women and ST’s will be included along with KTR and Harish Rao. Anyway, even if KCR tactically kept his key leaders for LS polls, he is facing criticism for his decisions on the cabinet so far.
