PM Modi's comments on Sabarimala issue are quite contrary to SC's order..!

Looks like the Sabarimala issue in Kerala has become one sort of another Ayodhya issue in the south. In North India, the Ayodhya issue is being used as a weapon for political mileage. Even after the Supreme Court’s order, there are rivalries arising in the state for this issue. And unfortunately Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi has made some disappointing comments over this issue. Modi without any hesitation said that the ruling Left Democratic Front’s conduct on Sabarimala issue is shameful behavior by the party as well as the government. He later accused the Congress-led United Democratic Front of showing double standards by citing their comments inside as well as outside the parliament do not match. All this was said by PM Narendra Modi in a rally conducted in Kerala.

Reacting on this, former Kerala CM Oommen Chandy said that it is unfortunate as they have been expecting a solution from PM. And over the double standards issue, Chandy responded clarified that they have a clear stand and that they are with devotees and are not craving for political mileage from this issue. Comments made by PM Modi on Sabarimala issue were felt to be treated as contempt of court by CPI General Secretary Sitaram Yechuri. He said that elected government has to obey SC order. And that there is no second option. And went on saying that Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi himself is finding defects with the implementation of SC order. He added that RSS and BJP have been violating the law as they are trying to make the Sabarimala issue, similar to that of Ayodhya issue by polarising people on basis of religion. Such actions by a person at such respectable cadre are really disappointing to the public. Hope these people do not make this issue as serious as Ayodhya issue and situations like the one which emerged in Gujarat do not emerge here.
