Prime minister of the UK, Boris Johnson tests positive for Coronavirus

Previously Prince Charles from the British Royal family also tested positive for Coronavirus.

Prime minister of the UK, Boris Johnson tests positive for Coronavirus

Coronavirus which first appeared in the Wuhan province of China has now ravaged the entire world. Over the last couple of months, Coronavirus has infected millions of people around the globe and killed over 20000 people. Many celebrities and famous faces have also tested positive for the novel Covid-19. Now the Prime Minister of the UK, Boris Johnson has tested positive for Coronavirus.

 
Johnson previously faced heavy criticism for his strategy to tackle the pandemic. Johnson suggested the concept of herd immunity in Britain and Northern Island as a way to tackle the issue.
 
Previously Prince Charles of the British royal family also tested positive for the virus. Since then Prince Charles has moved to Scotland to stay in self-isolation. Earlier an aide of Queen Elizabeth II also tested positive for the virus. The Queen of England moved to the Windsor Castle.
 
A spokesperson of the British prime minister said, "The test was carried out in No 10 by NHS staff and the result of the test was positive...In keeping with the guidance, the Prime Minister is self-isolating in Downing Street."
 
Johnson himself took to Twitter to share the news about contracting the virus. He tweeted writing, "Over the last 24 hours I have developed mild symptoms and tested positive for coronavirus.
 
I am now self-isolating, but I will continue to lead the government’s response via video-conference as we fight this virus.
 
Together we will beat this. #StayHomeSaveLives."
 
"But be in no doubt that I can continue, thanks to the wizardry of modern technology, to communicate with all my top team, to lead the national fightback against coronavirus," he added.
