PV Sindhu’s badminton coach resigns abruptly
 
Kim Ji Hyun, who got roped in by the Badminton Association of India (BAI) early this year. She was with PV Sindhu during her World Championship gold-winning campaign last month at Basel, Switzerland.
 
India's South Korean coach Kim Ji Hyun, helped PV Sindhu clinch her maiden world title has resigned from her position due to personal reasons. The 45-year-old has gone to New Zealand to take care of her husband Ritchie Marr, who suffered a stroke. Kim got roped in by the Badminton Association of India early this year.
 
But, BAI General Secretary Ajay K Singhania said that neither the governing body nor the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has received any resignation from Kim.
 
“The Olympics is still 10 months away and we are trying to talk to her, get an update and see if it is possible for her to continue in her position," they added.
