PWD officials say Mettur dam level crosses 100-feet mark
The water level of the Mettur Dam in Salem district crossed the river Cauvery by 100 feet mark today morning at 4 am. While the Public Department (PWD) officers held the puja after the water level has crossed the 100ft in the Tamil Nadu’s largest dam.
PWD officers were stated that the inflow into the dam was consistent at 2.30 lakh cusecs. According to the officers, “At the present, the water level is at 101.11ft”
while in the previous year 2018 the water level has crossed 100 feet. In the next few days, the dam will reach a full capacity of 120 feet.
